Eligibility Criteria

  • Malaysian citizen with a monthly household income of less than RM 8,000

  • Age not exceeding 22 years in the year of application

  • Candidates obtained at least CGPA 3.3 and above at the Foundation Science / Matriculation / STPM / Diploma level

  • The student is not receiving scholarship / sponsorship / bond agreement from any sponsor throughout the course of the tuition

What is Impian Gigih Biasiswa?

Impian Gigih Biasiswa is GXBank’s scholarship programme for students entering any Malaysia Public University from monthly gross household income of RM8,000 and below.   

Recipients will be provided financial and educational support to incoming first year exceptional students pursuing undergraduate programmes at Malaysia public universities.

What does the Impian Gigih Biasiswa cover?

The Impian Gigih Biasiswa will include the following:

● Full tuition fees for the entire duration of the undergraduate study
● Matriculation support
● Overseas immersion programme
● Living expenses allowance
● An internship with GXBank
● Additional courses to build resilience and equip Recipients with future-ready skills

How many Recipients will be selected annually to receive the Impian Gigih Biasiswa?

Applicants will be evaluated according to the requirements to ensure only the most suitable and eligible will be selected as a Recipient of the Impian Gigih Biasiswa.

Who is eligible to apply for the Impian Gigih Biasiswa?

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Only open to those applying for a position as a full time undergraduate student in any Malaysian public university.
2. Malaysian
3. Age 22 years and below in the year of application
4. Total monthly gross household income of RM8,000 and below
5. Recipients should not be receiving scholarship / sponsorship / bond agreement from other sponsors throughout the course of the tuition.*
6. Results: CGPA 3.3 and above in STPM / Diploma / A-Level / Matriculation / Foundation or equivalent
7. Secured an admission to a Malaysian public university.

* Note:
Applicants must declare any scholarship / loan they are already receiving / have received.
If the Applicant has been chosen as a Recipient of the Impian Gigih Biasiswa, the recipient will receive an offer letter, and terminate any previous scholarship / loan.

How can one apply for Impian Gigih Biasiswa ?

Hopeful Applicants can click HERE to fill up the Application Form by 14 July 2024. Application form must include a Cover Letter (300-500 words) detailing their aspirations for the community and change post graduation.

Your Cover Letter will be evaluated based on sincerity, originality, creativity and command of language.

What documents do Applicants need to submit?

Applicants must submit the following documents:

● Complete the online Application form (Click HERE)
● Cover letter
● Copy of Malaysian University offer letter (if available at the time of application)
● Copy of academic results 
● Testimonial (optional)

Can an Applicant apply for the Impian Gigih Biasiswa programme before receiving / accepting an offer from a Malaysian public university?

Yes. Please attach a copy of the university application as supporting documents. A conditional offer letter will be provided if the Applicant is successful.

Once the outcome of the university application is confirmed, please provide a copy of the Letter of Offer by the university to the Impian Gigih Biasiswa Committee. Failure to do so may result in disqualification from this programme.

What happens if Applicants apply after the closing deadline?

Applications submitted after the specified closing date will not be entertained.
